My regular first-Saturday-of-the-month update. Check out the Current Projects page to see what I’m trying to get done this year, and to see my current progress, read below the cut.
As usual, feel free to harass me about any failed goals because I assure you, they were 100% possible and I just grew lazy. Any failures are fault of my work ethic and not my circumstances, and for that I should be criticized.
U8 – Chapter 2 of my online novel series, Crossing the Line, is now available on this blog! Chapter 1 is now available on Archive of Our Own (AO3) and will update one chapter behind on the same day from here-on out. is not quite available yet.
I’m sorry, I’m bad at this creative deadline business, but I’m working on it! Chapter 1 is however available on AO3 though. There’s also another story there about that Tumblr prompt about asexual pirates and sirens, so you can read that if you want instead.
- Mar. 2, 2016: Sable, goddammit, you did it again – you did the thing where you rehash the entire chapter a few days before the deadline. Why do you do this to yourself, Sable? Why was this necessary?
- 9:25 AM: As expected, I am not done. In fact, I am not even done enough to upload a rough draft right now, but I swear I will have something up by the end of the day.
- 9:44 AM: Good job, you knew you couldn’t finish on time so you wasted ten minutes uploading chapter 1 to AO3. I don’t even know what to say to you right now, me. For shame.
- Mar. 10, 2016: Danny has brought it to my attention that I may have an easier time of this if I shift U8 to a ‘every other month’ schedule, so that is what I am going to do.
This Month’s Goals:
I27 – Bandaids will be completed and uploaded sometime by the end of this week. This is a short story I am writing on the subject of male domestic abuse victims with female abusers. It is a sensitive subject, I am aware, and I am going to try my best to handle it delicately.
W15 – [my untitled zombie story] will have at least one or two chapters, ideally three chapters, done by March 27.
B5 – Job Security, my short story about a supervillain henchman-for-hire with a hermit crab, needs to be completed by April or Danny will be disappointed in me.
